Boston s’impose avec la manière à Mexico
Boston et Sacramento avaient rendez-vous à Mexico et ce sont les Celtics qui ont dominé les débats sur le score de 114-97. C’est la seconde victoire de rang et la 4ème en 5 matchs des C’s, qui remontent à la 7ème place à l’Est avec 11 victoires et 8 défaites. les Kings continuent de piétiner avec 7 victoires en 20 rencontres.
Isaiah Thomas a été le bourreau de son ancienne équipe avec 21 points dont 19 en première mi-temps, à 8/14 et 9 passes. Il a bien été épaulé par le trio Kelly Olynyk (21 points), Avery Bradley (20 points) et Jae Crowder (20 points), les seuls Celtics au-dessus des 6 points. Boston a profité des largesses défensives des Californiens, et surtout de leur grande maladresse avec seulement 37.7% aux tirs à l’image du 4/17 de DeMarcus Cousins pour 16 points et 7 rebonds. Rudy Gay marque lui 18 points à 7/13. Rajon Rondo a été expulsé après la pause pour deux fautes techniques et compile seulement 5 points et 8 passes.
Le match s’est joué en première mi-temps puisque Boston a démarré très fort dans le sillage de son petit meneur, auteur de 9 points dans les 9 premières minutes, aidé par Bradley et surtout un 7-0 à lui tout seul d’Olynyk pour conclure le quart sur le score de 32-17. Sur un trois points de Thomas dans le corner l’avance des hommes de Brad Stevens est même passée à 20 points, 39-19 en début de second quart. Sacramento a réduit l’addition à 15 points sur un 6-0 pour finir la première mi-temps mais au retour des vestiaires Crowder et Bradley ont appuyé à nouveau sur l’accélérateur et grâce à leur adresse extérieur ont porté de nouveau l’avance au-dessus des 20 points (76-50). Ils ont ensuite tranquillement déroulé.

Rudy Gay scored 18 points and DeMarcus Cousins added 16 for the Kings, who lost for the third time in their last four games.
Rajon Rondo, playing against his former team for the second time in his career, was sent off in the third quarter after a double technical foul and finished with five points for the Kings.
Rondo also faced the Celtics last season, when he was playing for the Dallas and scored 29 points in 119-101 win.
This time the outcome was quite different because Boston took control of the game early on with Thomas scoring nine points in the first eight minutes. Olynyk added back-to-back baskets at the end of the first quarter to open the lead to 32-17 and the Celtics were in control the rest of the way.
The lead grew to 20 points after a 3-pointer by Thomas from the left corner with 9:05 left in the second quarter. After making the shot, the Celtics point guard gave a long stare at the Kings bench.
The game marked the 22nd time that the NBA played in Mexico, the most of any country outside of the U.S and Canada.
It*s one of only two NBA regular season games to be played abroad this season.
Orlando will play Toronto on Jan. 14 in London.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME
The Kings were the home team in Mexico City but most of the fans in the Arena Ciudad de Mexico wore green colors and cheered loudly for Boston. According to the NBA office in Mexico, the Celtics, Lakers and the Bulls are the most popular teams in the country. Boston played for the first time in Mexican soil.
