Free agency NBA : Qui sera free agent ? Qui est susceptible de l’être ?

La saison est terminée mais la free agency se profile, le 1er juillet. L’occasion faire un point sur les joueurs qui seront libres ou susceptibles de l’être car ils possèdent une option dans leur contrat ou que ce dernier est non-garanti et qu’ils peuvent donc être coupés.

Il y a 5 catégories de joueurs :

• Les Unrestricted Free Agents, libres de signer où ils le souhaitent à partir du 1er juillet
• Les Restricted Free Agents, qui peuvent signer une offre avec une autre franchise que celle dans laquelle ils sont actuellement mais leur franchise a la possibilité de s’aligner pour les conserver
• Player Option : Le joueur a une année de contrat en option et il devra donc décider dans les semaines qui viennent s’il devient free agent ou rempile un an de plus.
• Team Option : Même principe que pour la player option mais là c’est la franchise qui décide.
• Contrat non-garanti : s’apparente à la team option puisque certains joueurs ont un contrat qui n’est pas garanti pour la saison prochaine (souvent il devient garanti  partir d’une certaine date) et la franchise peut donc les couper sans débourser un centime. A noter que certains ont une certaine somme qui est garantie.
